Childhood immunizations are available for children without insurance, whose insurance does not cover immunizations, or has a high deductible. Certain adult immunizations are available dependent on federal resources.
Public Health Nurses follow up with residents who have either been exposed to TB or have active Tuberculosis. Nurses provide education about TB. They can also facilitate residents getting medications to treat the TB. These services and medications are provided at no charge.
Emergency Preparedness for Public Health
Public Health Nurses and the Sanitarian work closely with community partners (law enforcement, emergency management, the medical community, Salvation Army, Red Cross, etc.) to share information, jointly plan and practice how to protect public health incidents, including pandemics and bio-terrorism..
