The Stronger Together Coalition is a diverse group of organizations and individuals from Faribault and Martin Counties who partner to address the top issues impacting the health of the residents of the counties. The group is charged with completing a community health assessment and subsequently developing a community health improvement plan to address top health concerns raised by community members. Our current plan aims to address adverse childhood experiences, mental health and wellbeing, substance use, prevention of chronic disease and access to health and dental services.
Stronger Together wants to highlight the great work happening to improve health and make a difference in our communities. We are looking to community members to nominate local organizations, service clubs or groups that are:
- working to support increased access to opportunities to be healthy (such as improving access to walking and biking, healthy foods, worksite wellness programs, etc.) OR increasing access to health and dental care,
- working to build resiliency in our community- supporting mental health and wellbeing or reducing substance use and support recovery options, and
- worksites who actively promote and support breastfeeding among their employees.
Nominations are accepted for the three awards through October 13. Please click on the hyperlink above to submit your nominations for each of the three categories.
